  Waterlogging

Water is necessary for successful farming and land use, but too much water can be as harmful as too little.

If the land is too wet, it becomes very difficult to use it for agriculture or any other financial use. Marshes and swamps also encourage the breeding of mosquitoes, which can be very dangerous as the mosquitoes can spread malaria and other diseases. The only way to deal with water logging is to drain the area. This can be very expensive. Contact the State Agricultural Department for advice.
